Dave Myers' top shot competition was held for Club members on July 5 at the Tri-Cities Metallic Silhouette Shooters Association Range. There were ten participants; Don Board was the range officer. Available venues included modern rifle, varmint rifle, muzzle loader, shotgun, handgun and archery.

Event winners included:  Modern Rifle - Paul Kison, Muzzle Loader - Larry Martin, Varmint Rifle - Mark Kimmell, Shotgun - Richard Sharp, and Archery - Dave Myers. There was no clear winner in the Handgun venue, as folks must have been too embarrassed to turn in their targets. The top scoring shooter was Mark Kimmell, and he competed in only two events. His sweet shooting .223 varmint rifle was the deciding factor with 10/10 kill shots at 200 yards.

The targets were animal silhouettes, with no visible aim points, shooters had to pick their point of aim and then hit it, targets were then scored 10 points for either a head or heart shot, 5 points for a vital shot, 1 point for a body shot; there was a 5 point deduction for a gut shot.
