2nd Mity Might

Second Annual RRGClub
Mity Might Fishing Derby

The day started a little wet at 6:00 am.  Marilyn steel brought biscuits and gravy. LaNae Sharp provided coffee and home baked muffins for breakfast. The teams were divided up so everybody had a partner for safety.  After breakfast Richard Sharp explained the rules and everybody was off.

The Catch
The day turned nice with partly cloudy skies and light winds. The first to return with fish was the team of Jim Cartmell and John Nelson with limits of trout.  Next was Cory Manlove and Daughter Allyson with bass, then Mike and Scott Estes with bass, and finally the team of Marylyn steel and Darren Mayer with Catfish.

Winners
As the weights were tallied Marylyn took top prize with a 7.5 lb. channel catfish with 2 fish total weight of 9.36 lb. Darren Mayer was accumulated weight winner with 2 fish at 6.6 lb. Multiple species winner was Cory Manlove with a Largemouth and Smallmouth bass at 1.6 lb. total.  Other fish combined fish totals were Scott Estes at 5.4 lb. bass, Mike Estes at 4.9 lb. bass, and John Nelson and Jim Cartmell with trout.

Fish Fry
The Fish fry was great with Mike Estes and Paul Hoffarth cleaning the fish. There was a great variety of potluck dishes and everyone had plenty. Then the dark clouds moved in, the BBQ was packed up in 30 minutes, and the day was over. Ten minutes later the storm hit. Thanks to all that participated and provided food and assistance with the Mity Might tournament. See you next year.
